Tricking and it’s community has been a huge part of my life for over a decade and is largely responsible for who I am today.
I created this film to bring to light this amazing and unique community of athletes the world has never seen.
I shot, directed, produced and edited this documentary over the course of six months in 2017.
Creating a documentary that shows the true heart of this community that means so much to me has been one of my proudest artistic and personal achievements to date.
I hope it continues to inspire Trickers and folks just discovering the sport for a long time to come.

Adventure Across the USA
We roadtripped from the East to the West coast of America over two months. This was a grand adventure filled with surprises, unforgettable characters and a variety of breathtaking biomes and landscapes which gives each chapter of the documentary its own distinct visual identity and character.
An Intimate Portrait from the Heart of the Community
At the point of recording Big I had been part of the Tricking community about a decade. Being so deeply immersed in the culture and community granted me a level of ease and access around everyone that allowed me to film the most authentic and intimate version of the Tricking community and showcase it in it’s purest form.
As well as recording for Big I shot 35mm photographs as a companion piece to the documentary.
Premiere at Hooked
Big premiered at on December 15th 2017 at Hooked, the biggest Tricking event of the year. Over a thousand trickers from all across the world come to Hooked to train, take workshops and party together. And for the very best, they compete for the prestigious title of Hooked Champion.
In 2017 it was unprecedented that a feature length documentary would screen at a Tricking gathering, let alone the biggest one. I did a lot of promotion and trailers to build hype but I had no idea what to expect. The turnout was absolutely incredible and beyond my wildest expectations, the room was absolutely packed, people were standing outside the door trying to watch it. The turnout and reaction warms my heart to this day, it was incredibly special and the seal of approval from the Tricking community was all I needed to know i’d done them justice in this doc.
To this day my documentaries are the only ones that have ever been shown at Hooked and it’s a huge honor to have the trust of the organisers to give my work space at such important events.
